Salt Communications Selected for LORCA Ignite

Belfast, 17th June 2021,  – Salt Communications, the leader in global secure communications is excited to today be announcing their selection for the LORCA Ignite Programme. LORCA’s (London Office for Rapid Cybersecurity Acceleration) goal is to assist the growth of the most innovative cyber companies to solve digital challenges faced by enterprises, the economy and society.

The concept of the LORCA Ignite programme was first announced in March 2021 following on from five incredibly successful cohorts with UK cybersecurity scale-ups. LORCA has helped 72 cyber startups that have taken part in their accelerator develop their products, achieve a closer-product-market fit and grow in the UK and globally. LORCA are now welcoming back six LORCA graduates into the Ignite programme, which has been designed to turbocharge their growth.

Salt Communications, formerly SaltDNA, graduated from LORCA’s third cohort and has continued to grow following the assistance received during this initial six month programme. The LORCA Ignite programme further supports Salt Communications’ rapid growth with the assistance and support of LORCA and their large selection of networking partners.

“Everyone at Salt Communications is incredibly grateful to be part of this LORCA Ignite programme and are excited to be working once again with the team from LORCA,” said Joe Boyle, CEO at Salt Communications. “We have an industry leading product and a fantastic list of customers which we are very keen to expand during this programme. We are very confident that the amazing LORCA team will help us as we make this journey”

Saj Huq, director of LORCA, said: “LORCA Ignite is the evolution of an accelerator programme that has demonstrated the extraordinary success of the British startup ecosystem over the last three years. By combining government support with innovation expertise and access to investors and global tech leaders, LORCA has accelerated the growth of a new generation of world-class British cyber startups. LORCA Ignite will continue that growth trajectory for some of the most high-potential businesses that have participated in our programme. The UK has a globally competitive cyber ecosystem and we need to provide support to the cyber scaleups at the forefront of what is quickly becoming a jewel in the UK’s tech crown.”
