Salt Communications, a leader in secure communications, proudly sponsored the Emerging Talent of the Year Award at this year’s Blue Light Awards. The award was presented by Salt Communications’ Director, Matthew Cummings, to Rosie Rowbotham from the Search and Rescue Dog Association Ireland North (Sardain NI).

On 27th February 2025, the inaugural Northern Ireland Blue Light Awards lit up the Culloden Estate and Spa, honouring the brave men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities.

With over 300 guests in attendance, this spectacular event celebrated the incredible efforts of our police, fire, ambulance, search & rescue, and other frontline emergency responders—the everyday heroes who go above and beyond to keep us safe.

Hosted by Pamela Ballantine MBE, the night featured powerful stories of service, special messages from key public figures, and unforgettable entertainment, all while raising vital funds for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.

The Blue Light Awards celebrate the exceptional dedication and achievements of individuals within the emergency services sector. The Emerging Talent of the Year Award recognises rising stars who have demonstrated outstanding commitment, innovation, and potential in their roles, making a significant impact on their services and communities.

Rosie Rowbotham has played a pivotal role in advancing Sardain NI’s mission to provide specialist, multi-discipline search and rescue dog teams across Northern Ireland and beyond. Her dedication to training and deploying highly skilled search and rescue dogs has greatly enhanced the organisation’s ability to respond to emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of the public.

Presenting the award, Matthew Cummings commented: “At Salt Communications, we greatly admire the dedication and selflessness of individuals like Rosie, who go above and beyond to keep our communities safe.
