Here’s a look at how our year unfolded.

Global Engagement and Industry Leadership

In 2025, Salt Communications shared its story with more people in many locations across the globe. Our participation at landmark industry events both steers our direction and affirms our leadership in the secure communications market.

Some of the UK focused events include:

CYBERUK 2025 (Manchester) – the UK government’s flagship cyber security event. Our team engaged with over 2,000 cybersecurity professionals, policymakers and decision-makers, showcasing our latest advancements and reinforcing our role as a trusted partner for high-stakes secure communications.

Security and Policing 2025 (Farnborough) –  the official UK Government global security event. This key gathering of law enforcement, defence, and security professionals provided an invaluable opportunity to demonstrate how Salt Communications supports secure collaboration during sensitive operations, investigations and crisis response.

DSEI (London) – one of the largest defence and security events in the world. The event was an excellent opportunity to showcase our secure communications technology to global defence and security leaders, strengthen partnerships and highlight the innovation coming from Northern Ireland’s growing technology sector.

2025 was a standout year for Salt Communications, filled with achievements and recognition across the technology and cybersecurity industries. We were also proud to have been shortlisted across multiple UK and international award programmes, including the Computing, Mobile Industry, Cloud Excellence, Comms National and the MSP Channel awards.

Beyond awards, we have consistently amplified our messaging and thought leadership, highlighting in our blog and media the growing risks of using consumer apps for secure enterprise communications.

Product Advancements

Within the last twelve months Salt Communications has delivered many highly impactful product updates designed to enhance collaboration, efficiency and user experience across the platform.

We have optimised multiple device support, enabling users to stay securely connected across multiple devices simultaneously without being subject to the same vulnerabilities found in consumer apps like WhatsApp and Signal.

We also increased our video conferencing capabilities allowing enhanced real-time video collaboration while maintaining the advanced security and privacy standards trusted by our clients.

For Command and Control enabled environments we reimagined SMART as an entitlement within the Salt app.  This now means that an existing Salt account can dynamically be configured to enable fast and accurate reporting of real-time events within operational teams.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we turn the page to 2026, as the secure communications market grows, we are set to have our biggest growth year yet.  Our focus will remain on enabling organisations to operate safely and confidently in an increasingly challenging world.
